In Maru Solhe there are twenty-two compositions, both independent and semantically correlated. These compositions also demonstrate how Baba Nanak constitutes his philosophical discourse. To begin with there are two levels of presentation, the anthropological and cosmological. We begin from a given reality from one enunciation to another. It is followed by a series of binary conceptual oppositions which are generally resolved as we move from the empirical to the abstract and the imaginary. This leads to what may be called the architectonics of Baba Nanak’s philosophical reflections.
